Apt
This small Vaucluse town is the capital of the Luberon region. And with good reason: Apt boasts typical Provencal architecture that is a pleasure to visit. But the town is also renowned for its gourmet delights: it’s the world capital of candied fruit, and many local products are produced here. So much so, in fact, that it has been classified as a « remarkable taste site ».
What’s more, the town is only 15 minutes from the Colorado Provençal. A unique site in France, with a colorful ochre quarry rivaling that of the American West.
