Downtown

Looking for a place to stay in Orange? As is often the case, the city center is the nerve center of a town, where everything happens! Here, there’s nothing better than getting around on foot, wandering through the narrow streets of the town with their Provencal charm, stumbling across shady squares or coming face to face with superb ancient facades, Roman or medieval monuments. This is also where you’ll find one of the most important markets in the Vaucluse every Thursday, where you can feast on local produce: fruit, vegetables, charcuterie and cheese, not to mention wines! A real treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds.

It’s also here, in the center of town, on the Place de la Mairie, that the annual Jazz Festival takes place, with plenty of free concerts for fans!

One thing’s for sure: you won’t be bored if you decide to find accommodation in Orange’s downtown area.

As its name suggests, the Orange Belt district encircles the city. In a way, it’s the city’s « inner suburbs ». From a tourist point of view, it’s not a very interesting area, but if you’re travelling by car, it could be a good base for your vacation, especially if you want to get around more easily. You’ll find hotels here that aren’t too expensive, and a good number of Airbnbs with more affordable floor space than in the city center, not bad if you’re traveling with the family.
