The heart of the old town nestles between the Cité and Bourg districts. It adjoins the Canal de la Robine. The latter is crossed by the Pont des Marchands, not to be missed! Of Roman origin, it was once the gateway to the ancient city from the south. Houses with pretty, colorful facades overlook it.

Also in the city center, the Cité district is separated from the historic center by the Robine canal. Here, you’ll discover vestiges of Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the golden age of winegrowing at the end of the 19th century.
The Cité was once home to the nobility and the clergy. Staying in Narbonne in this area reminds us just how much of a city of Art and History it is. Outside the city, just a few kilometers away, Narbonne-Plage is the ideal place to stay in Narbonne while enjoying the sea. The boom in seaside tourism in the Aude region gave rise to this new living space from the mid-twentieth century onwards. Growing from 2,500 permanent residents to over 30,000 in summer, Narbonne-Plage offers a range of accommodation to suit holidaymakers.
