Where to stay in Leucate?

Would you like to discover south-east France? Come to your accommodation in Leucate on the Mediterranean coast.

Leucate is a commune of almost 5,000 inhabitants, located in south-eastern France between Perpignan and Narbonne. Once coveted by the Spanish, Leucate later became a base for the Germans during the Second World War. It is home to the ruins of a castle, razed to the ground under the orders of Louis XIV in the 17th century.

A renowned seaside resort, it attracts thousands of tourists every year. In terms of transport, it is served by both a railway station and a port. The town is divided into five districts: Leucate plage, Leucate village, Port-Leucate, La Franqui and the small naturist village on the island of Corrège. All of these areas boast dream landscapes for a successful vacation. They will appeal to couples, families and friends alike. Leucate is particularly adored for its 18 kilometers of white sandy beaches. Sporty travelers will enjoy strolling along the cliffside paths before relaxing on one of the town’s eight beaches. For those looking for something a little different, head for the Etang de Leucate.
