Downtown
Staying in the heart of Le Touquet means combining the charms of a chic, cosy town center with those of the nearby beach. Wander the streets to discover the architectural treasures of the wealthy villas (in Anglo-Norman or Art Deco style) before setting off to conquer the architectural and cultural treasures such as the Palais de l’Europe, the superb Hôtel de Ville or the imposing Hôtel Westminster. Rue Saint-Jean, on the other hand, is pedestrianized and brimming with boutiques, bars and brasseries where you can sample local dishes.
Saturday morning’s must-see market is located under the covered market halls in the town center. Here you can buy local produce such as the famous « ratte du Touquet » (a potato grown on the Opal Coast). And don’t miss a stop at the « Au Chat Bleu » chocolate factory, a local institution since 1921.
As you can see, Le Touquet-Paris-Plage town center is the ideal place to base yourself if you want to take in the sights and monuments and enjoy a taste of local life, while benefiting from quick access to the beaches and surrounding countryside.

The waterfront
The beauty of Le Touquet’s fine sandy beach soon makes you forget the austerity of the seafront buildings erected in the 70s and 80s. And with good reason: it stretches for over 12 km from the mouth of the Canche in the north to the sand dunes in the south, facing the English Channel. Swimming, long walks or horse rides, water sports, sunbathing… All the pleasures of a charming seaside resort. The most popular activity for amateurs and enthusiasts is, of course, sand yachting on the beach at low tide, the authentic pastime!
Staying on the seafront also means having a front-row seat for the famous Enduro du Touquet in February: the biggest motorcycle race of its kind in Europe. You can also enjoy a lazy afternoon on your towel, savor the pleasure of an aperitif in front of the sunset or discover the Parc Aqualud for a family day out.

In addition to its beach, Le Touquet boasts a superb 200-hectare pine forest just a few minutes’ walk from the town center. Staying in the surrounding area offers a wide variety of pleasures. In fact, there are no less than 50 km of flower-lined avenues for visitors to discover the other side of the seaside resort, nicknamed « The Garden of La Manche »! There are also superb villas nestled among maritime pines and oaks. Golf enthusiasts can indulge their passion on an 18-hole course. The pine forest of Le Touquet is also a paradise for horseback riders.
In short, if you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-focused break, choose accommodation close to the city’s parks and gardens!

Etaples
A pleasant alternative to Le Touquet, for those who prefer the quieter, more authentic atmosphere of a small fishing port, Etaples-sur-Mer is just a stone’s throw from the seaside resort.
Nestling on the opposite bank of the Canche, Etaples-sur-Mer is home to the Musée de la Marine and the Maréis sea-fishing discovery center. There’s plenty to do here. You’ll find plenty of accommodation, as well as bars and restaurants overlooking the sea.
