What better place to stay in Cesky Krumlov than in the Old Town district? You’ll be right in the heart of the listed city, and only a few hundred meters away from all its gems.

Whichever accommodation you choose, you’ll have a view of the Vltava River or a historic building. You can sleep in Vnitrni Mesto whatever your budget. For example, you can find a room in a youth hostel located in an old house. Many hotels are housed in characterful 16th-century or Gothic buildings. If you prefer the atmosphere of a home-stay, you’ll find a number of guesthouses.

Latran

The Latran district is also located in the old part of the city. It lies between the Lazebnicky wooden bridge and the Budejovicka Brana gate, a vestige of the city walls. You’ll have the pleasure of crossing the Vltava on this ancient bridge, to find yourself in the inner city. You’ll be close to the starting points for canoe trips on the river.

These houses were built to house the staff who worked for the château, at the foot of which they stand. Many of them have retained their historic character, becoming town houses over the centuries. Here again, you have a wide choice of accommodation of all types, with restaurants and bars close by.

Horni Brana

Located not far from the center, but outside the loop that encircles the old town, the Horni Brana district is the ideal place to stay in Cesky Krumlov.

It’s a residential area, with very quiet streets. It’s easy to get to the various places of interest on foot, but you can also take the bus to the Latran and Nadrazni Predemesti districts. The main bus station for urban and intercity transport is in this district.

A walk in the neighborhood? Go as far as the small lake inside Horni Brana. Here you’ll find mainly guesthouses, including the superb Villa Atika.

Nadrazni Predmesti

If you want to get far enough away from the center to find yourself in a quiet environment, the Nadrazni Predmesti district, north of Cesky Krumlov, represents a good compromise. You’ll have to walk a bit more, but you’ll be able to leave your car near your accommodation.

If you’re arriving by train, most of the area’s vacation accommodations are within a five-minute walk. You’ll find numerous guesthouses and apartments for rent by the night.

Plesivec

This residential district lies to the south of the old town. It’s a pleasant place to stay in Cesky Krumlov.

The municipal park is located in this district. Classified as an urban conservation area, it is home to a variety of tree species that attract many birds. The park is also home to original species of flowers, such as tulip lilies and Chinese lilacs.

You’ll be less than a kilometer from the synagogue, the Chapelle Saint-Martin with its baroque furnishings, and the Seidel photography museum. Accommodation will be mainly apartments, with a few guesthouses.

Horice na Sumave

During the high season, it can sometimes be difficult to find accommodation in Cesky Krumlov. Don’t hesitate to get out of town for a while and discover the charming little village of Horice na Sumave, some fifteen kilometers away.

There, you’ll be ready to explore the Sumava National Park or enjoy water sports on Lake Lipno. The lake also boasts pleasant beaches. The local museum boasts a large collection of radios, as well as a history of the Passion Games, once very popular in this village.

Vyssi Brod

Some 30 kilometers to the southwest, Vyssi Brod also offers a good alternative for accommodation when visiting Cesky Krumlov and the surrounding area.

The little town is nestled in the arms of the Vltava, on the shores of Lake Lipno, in a wooded setting. Don’t miss a visit to the 13th-century monastery, one of South Bohemia’s great spiritual centers.
