Are you about to leave for Prague and still have some room in your suitcase for shopping? Here are the best places to shop in Prague!
Like every European capital, Prague has its fair share of shopping malls and shopping streets. So why not take advantage of your stay in the Bohemian capital to do a little shopping? Especially as prices are sometimes lower than elsewhere in Western Europe, and local thrift shops and boutiques offer very competitive prices for little wonders. Between a visit to Prague Castle and a stroll along the Charles Bridge, don’t hesitate to store in Prague!
But where to shop in Prague? We’ve listed five of the most popular and interesting places to shop in Prague.
1. Palladium Center
This is Prague’s biggest, most central and best-known shopping center, located in the heart of Prague, just a stone’s throw from the historic center.
Located at the Náměstí Republiky (Republic Square) stop, in an old historic building, you’ll find over 200 stores, including top names like H&M, Marks & Spencer and Zara. What’s more, Palladium also boasts a particularly pleasant gastronomic floor, with around 30 restaurants and cafés, where you can enjoy a meal or take a break while shopping in Prague. Most stores are open from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday.
2. Václavské náměstí / Wenceslas Square
Not far from the central station and in the historic center is Wenceslas Square, which overlooks the street leading to the Palladium. Here, too, you’ll find a wide range of local and international stores and boutiques.
3. Nový Smíchov
Modern and fashionable, Nový Smíchov is a shopping center located in the center of the Czech capital, at the Anděl metro stop (line B towards Zličín, on the way to the airport).
150 stores and brands on 3 floors, from local to international brands, as well as a restaurant on the 3rd floor (special lunch prices) and a multiplex cinema. The perfect place to store in Prague!
4. Arkády Pankrác
Although more out of the way than Nový Smíchov, the Pankrác shopping center is quieter and less crowded than its predecessors. It’s also home to many local retailers, and prices are lower than in the center. Pankrác is easily reached by metro (line C from Muzeum to Haje, Pankrác stop).
5. Some local stores and thrift stores in Prague
