Our tips for paragliding
For a successful paragliding session, there are certain prerequisites. Nothing major, but essential information for a memorable experience.
- Unfortunately, children under the age of 5 are not allowed to paraglide. For the rest, there is no age limit, although minors must have parental permission;
- Some service providers do not allow flights for people weighing more than 120kg (sometimes less), so don’t hesitate to ask beforehand;
- We recommend that you wear suitable sportswear to get the most out of your flight;
- Paragliding is also available for people with reduced mobility;
- You don’t need a medical certificate or to be in very good physical condition;
- Finally, please note that your flight may be cancelled in the event of adverse weather conditions (wind, rain, storm…). We therefore strongly advise you to book your activity at the beginning of your vacation week, so that you can postpone your flight in case of bad weather.
We should also point out that there’s no such thing as vertigo when paragliding, as you have no connection with the ground. On the other hand, you may feel airsick, although this is very rare.
If you’re used to feeling unwell on public transport, don ‘t hesitate to mention it to your paragliding instructor, who will take great care to be gentle during the flight.
