1. Valves
The Vannes aerodrome is unique in that it has two runways: one asphalt and one grass. The advantage? Year-round take-offs, of course! In fact, it’s one of the best spots for skydiving in Brittany.
Once you’re on the plane, there’s no choice: the instructor is right behind you, firmly attached to you. But don’t worry, everything’s under control. Once you’ve opened the door, it’s off for a big minute of freefall with a breathtaking view.
Vannes aerodrome is particularly well placed on the Gulf of Morbihan. You’ll be able to appreciate the jagged relief of the Breton coastline and the immensity of the ocean! Depending on your jumping experience, the fall may seem longer or shorter. But it doesn’t matter: once you’re on the ground, you’ll want to get back up!
2. Dinan
Dinan is one of the prettiest towns in Poudouvre, an authentic and charming region in north-east Haute-Bretagne. Close to Saint-Malo, in the heart of the Rance Valley, the town is famous for its castle.
But did you know that it was also a major center for skydiving in Brittany? Its airfield is one of the most popular with skydiving enthusiasts from all over the region. After a short briefing by your instructor, it’s time to take off. Your plane, a Pilatus with room for ten people, will take you to an altitude of four kilometers before asking you to descend! Of course, strapped in and perfectly reassured by your instructor, who will stabilize your descent. You’ll catch a glimpse of Saint-Malo and its emerald-green estuary, which owes its color to the mixture of fresh and salt water. What a short fall! Shall we go back up?
3. Ushant Island
Yes, you can try your hand at skydiving over the sublime island of Ouessant during the summer season. This little haven of peace lies some twenty kilometers off the Breton peninsula. Known for its lighthouses and scenic beauty, the island has an aerodrome open to skydivers in summer. It’s already one of the best places to skydive in Brittany! We recommend spending a weekend on the island to discover its rare beauty.
But from the air, it’s even more beautiful: come on, board a Pilatus or a 206 Soloy. And at an altitude of 3,500 metres, there’s no choice but to take the plunge! You’ll have the chance to take in a fleeting glimpse of this little piece of land lapped by the waves. Make the most of this unique and unforgettable experience.
4. Lannion
The pretty little town of Lannion is located in the Côtes-d’Armor region of France. The town is renowned for its half-timbered houses and typical religious monuments. It’s also a great place to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding coastline.
What’s more, its small airfield allows the most adventurous to admire the fantastic Pink Granite Coast from the air. Well, you won’t be admiring it for long: you’re approaching it at nearly 200 km/h! Once your canopy is open, your instructor can let you pilot the parachute if you wish. Landing takes an average of five minutes once you’ve opened the canopy. That still leaves you plenty of time to admire the sea and the famous Sept-Îles archipelago, one of the wonders of the region!
At Generation Voyage, there’s no doubt about it: Lannion is definitely one of the best places to skydive in Brittany.
5. Quiberon
The Quiberon peninsula is a local pride and joy: this little piece of rock is decidedly majestic. This jewel of the Breton coastline is popular with tourists, who come to bask on its sumptuous beaches in summer.
You can also take advantage of one of the best skydiving spots in Brittany! From the airfield, your plane will drop you at 4,000 meters for an unforgettable jump. You’ll fly over La Baule, admire the Côte d’Amour and the Guérande salt marshes. Tandem skydiving guarantees your safety and lets your instructor take care of the piloting. All you have to do is enjoy your fall and your flight over the coast!
It’s an experience worth living, and even more worth sharing. In fact, you can record a video of your flight to impress your loved ones waiting on the ground. So, are you ready?

Practical info
Here is some additional information before you decide to go skydiving:
- Parachute jumping can be done all year round. It’s a dangerous sport, subject to weather conditions. Your jump may have to be postponed if gusts of wind or heavy rain prevent you from taking off!
- It won’t surprise anyone, but at altitude, it’s cold. Tip: to find out the temperature when you leave the plane, subtract 20°C from the temperature on the ground.
- Even in summer, don’t hesitate to wear a light sweater. You can also wear a tracksuit or shorts. On the other hand, you’ll need low, closed-toe shoes: sneakers are ideal.
- If you wear glasses, it’s best to bring contact lenses… but over-glasses will be provided if you prefer to jump in with your favorite binoculars.
- In the vast majority of cases, you won’t be able to skydive if you exceed 100 kg.
- A medical certificate of no contraindication to parachute jumping less than one year old is required. Parental authorization is also required for minors.
Now you know where to go skydiving in Brittany! Now all you have to do is let the adrenaline pump! Enjoy the fall!
