In this article, you’ll find all the information you need to visit Parc Warner Madrid and make the most of your stay in one of Europe’s largest leisure parks. Park history, attractions, opening hours, prices, accessibility… Let us guide you!

History of Parc Warner Madrid

The Warner Bros. production and distribution company was founded in 1923 by the Warner brothers. This small family business enjoyed resounding success following the 1927 broadcast of the first talking picture: The Jazz Singer. From then on, the company went on to make its mark on the history of cinema. Today, Warner Bros. is one of America’s most famous majors, and its creations set the pace for our imaginations.

Why a Warner Park in Madrid? In the 1990s, urban tourism was faltering and new forms of tourism based on large-scale leisure offerings were emerging. Walt Disney wanted to set up a theme park in Spain, but ultimately opted for Paris, which won the negotiations. It was against this backdrop that Time Warner (now WarnerMedia) presented its theme park project to the city of Madrid.

Warner Madrid was inaugurated on April 6, 2002. The first few years were difficult, and the park failed to attract enough visitors. Eager to promote tourism in the region, the Comunidad de Madrid became involved, and the new management team produced promising results. Visitor numbers and satisfaction soared, and the project became profitable.

Today, Parc Warner Madrid is Port Aventura’s main competitor and stands as one of Europe’s most comprehensive and forward-thinking amusement parks. It received the PAC Award 2018 « Amusement Park of the Year in Spain ». Its attractions are among the best in the world and are attracting more and more tourists!
