There are around 80 wineries in the Yarra Valley and the first vines date back to 1838. This unique region with its cool climate is perfectly suited to the production of Chardonnay (for its freshness), Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

There are also numerous events throughout the year to celebrate food and wine, including Grape Grazing, which heralds the start of the grape harvest, Rochford concerts and the Shedfest festival.

The main estates offering tasting events for wine lovers:

– Boat O’Craigo is an exclusive estate with two vineyards;

– Domaine Chandon, founded by the Moët house, where you can taste the famous sparkling wine that is Moët&Chandon champagne.

– TarraWarra is a convivial bistro.

– Yering Farm Wines is a rustic winery housed in an old hangar.

– Yering Station is a contemporary complex with restaurant, delicatessen and bar.
