According to the results of a study published in the journal Gut, there is a link between consumption of sugary drinks and bowel cancer!

People who drink more than two glasses of these sugary drinks a day are at greater risk of developing bowel cancer!

The French National Cancer Institute states that colorectal cancer « causes 17,000 deaths a year. In more than 80% of cases, it stems from a benign tumor that evolves slowly and eventually becomes cancerous. »

According to Santé Publique France, « colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers (ranked 3rd in men and 2nd in women) and the 2nd leading cause of cancer-related death ».

It is estimated that in 2015, 5,600 cases of colorectal cancer could be attributed to consumption of charcuterie », says the Foundation for Cancer Research.

The Centre de Lutte contre le Cancer Léon Berard states that « Three nutritional factors are convincingly implicated in the occurrence of colorectal cancer: alcohol consumption, overweight and obesity, and consumption of red meats and deli meats ».
