Olvera, in southern Spain, is on the route to the White Villages.

Olvera is a small village in the heart of the Cadiz mountains in Andalusia. The village’s main landmark is actually the town itself, with its whitewashed houses and steep streets all leading up to the impressive silhouettes of its hilltop church and castle.

Olvera’s surrounding hills are full ofolive groves that produce the finest olive oil in Andalusia. The village’s name is thought to be linked to the number of olive trees in the area.
