Sleep in a tipi for a night, it’s possible thanks to Airbnb: here are the most beautiful of them.
Are you fascinated by Westerns? Are the adventurers of the Far West your idols? And when you were younger, did you tend to side with the American Indians rather than the cowboys? To put yourself in the shoes of the illustrious Amerindians for a night, sleep in an authentic tepee. These picturesque dwellings are becoming increasingly popular and, believe us, even more comfortable.
For a family weekend or a romantic evening, a tipi is the guarantee of an unforgettable moment of sharing. Generation Voyage has selected the most beautiful of them. What’s more, you don’t even need to know how to ride a horse or book by smoke signal: off you go!

Set in the middle of a superb two-hectare wooded estate, you’re right in the heart of Normandy. Built in an eco-friendly style, this cozy shelter blends in perfectly with the surroundings.
There’s a dining room, fully equipped kitchen, barbecue and plenty of children’s play equipment. In the area, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the region and admire its wonders. Between the cliffs of Étretat, the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, the beach at Deauville or the Bayeux Tapestry Museum, there’s plenty to do.

Even in summer, it’s cold in the mountains at night. No problem with the wood-burning stove, around which you can warm up. The owners have thought of everything, and are happy to lend you a fondue machine for your enjoyment. No electricity or running water, but what a unique experience awaits you in this sublime Savoyard setting!
4. Cute tepee
Welcome to Argelès-sur-Mer in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Designed for two people, it’s as a couple that you’ll take possession of this beautiful tipi. Set in the center of a large wooded plot, you’ll find peace and quiet here. Dogs, cats, chickens and even a parrot may disturb the peace! But don’t worry, they won’t break the bubble that’s all yours.
The beach is just three kilometers away, ideal for perfecting your tan. The splendid village of Collioure is less than ten minutes away by car… wait, by car? No, take your bike instead, which we’ll be happy to lend you on site. You’ll need it to discover the sumptuous Château de Valmy, a remarkable Art Nouveau building. The wines produced here are delicious… cheers!

6. Little tipi tip top
Le Mas, in the Estéron valley, is a pretty commune in the Alpes-Maritimes. Here, we’re in the heart of the Pre-Alps, just an hour’s drive from Nice or Cannes. If you’re a hiker, the GR4 passes just 200 meters from your three-person shelter. At night, you’ll be surprised to hear the hooting of owls and the bellowing of deer. But don’t let that stop you from sleeping peacefully and recharging your batteries before a swim in the Estéron!
Superbly decorated, the tipi is very spacious and features a suspended Mayan bed. From the accommodation, the view of the Vegay waterfall and surrounding mountains is simply breathtaking.
