Fresh air

As soon as you catch a glimpse of it, snow has this incredible power to make you smile. When the snow has fallen, the landscape is cloaked in its white mantle. It’s theperfect opportunity to get outside and get some fresh air.

Wrap up warm, put on your gloves, scarf and hat and get out of the house to breathe in the fresh air. An invigorating cold that’s sure to give you a good night’s sleep.

Snow gives us a feeling of well-being and improves our quality of sleep!

Exercise

Once outside, it’s time for snowball fights and igloo building. An opportunity to have fun and burn calories at the same time.

Don’t hesitate to take to the slopes on a toboggan or skis, and let’s go sliding! Or take up Nordic walking or put on your snowshoes for a refreshing winter stroll. Thanks to the snow, it’s easy to get fit !

Resting

After a long day outside in the snow, there’s nothing better than a cocooning session. Get out the plaids and herbal teas, open a book or magazine – in short, relax. Don’t forget that reading is good for the brain!

And if the snow has blocked the roads and you’re stuck at home, take advantage of this enforced rest to indulge in a siesta. An essential moment to recuperate and regain your strength.

Good for morale

Haven’t you noticed? Snow makes you happy! It’s even said to excite. It’s true that when it snows, the light is more intense.

We know that light enables the brain to secrete serotonin, one of the hormones responsible for happiness and well-being. In short, snow is good for morale.

Rolling around naked in the snow

It’s a practice that originated in Eastern Europe and is excellent for your health. Rolling around naked (or just in your underpants) in the snow at outside temperatures well below 0 degrees.

This stimulates blood circulation and helps preventvaricose veins.
