1. Cap d’Antibes via the Tire-Poil trail

Are you looking for a nice family outing after a stroll through the narrow streets of the old town and its restaurants? Head for the beach at La Garoupe to discover Cap d’Antibes! Take the Tire-Poil trail, a section of the famous Douaniers trail, named after the force of the winds that swept along the coast.

Looking for a moment of escape during your stay on the Côte d’Azur? This hike around Antibes starts in Sophia Antipolis, about 20 minutes’ drive from the town center. It follows the Tamarins trail and the Brague discovery path, offering intimate, bucolic landscapes. At the end of the trail, you can admire the beautiful Bruget waterfall from the stone bridge.

A shady route along the river, far from the hustle and bustle of the coast: an ideal option for cooling off in summer! What’s more, the hike is very accessible. You can bring your children along, and dogs are welcome.

Meet at Fort Carré to start the route to Juan-les-Pins. You’ll follow part of the coastline, passing a multitude of pretty beaches: Plage de la Gravette, Plage des Ondes, Plage Gallice… You’ll also have the chance to stroll along the Port de la Salis and the Port du Croûton. And don’t forget the views over the Bay of Nice, the snow-capped mountains and the blue line of the Mediterranean. A real delight!

The path around the island is an invitation to take a stroll. Wild and easy to access, it offers typically Mediterranean landscapes, transfigured by the scents of flora and sea spray. Occasionally, it leads to natural coves, ideal for cooling off on hot days. A moment out of time!

From the Notre-Dame de la Garoupe church in Antibes, take the path that leads to the Bois de la Garoupe. It’s a short, accessible trail that’s easy for the whole family to follow.

The Bois de la Garoupe is surrounded by coastal villas, luxury hotels and heavenly beaches. And yet, the holm oaks form a remarkable green setting. Along the way, stop off at the Chapelle du Calvaire, an ancient place of pilgrimage that still bears witness to the ancient veneration of sailors for divinities both present and disappeared.

Head to the Préalpes Côte d’Azur regional nature park, a 40-minute drive from the town center, to start this lovely hike around Antibes. It takes you to the heights of Baou des Blancs, which rises to an altitude of 673 metres.

From up there, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the Côte d’Azur: Nice, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, the Esterel massif… On a clear day, you might even catch a glimpse of Corsica! If you’ve still got room to spare, you can also climb up to Baou Noir.

Bring good walking shoes and plenty of water.

This 12-metre-high statue pays homage to the civilians killed in the Algerian war, which is why it has become a place of pilgrimage for French nationals repatriated from Algeria. To start this hike, head for Théoule-sur-Mer, 45 minutes from Antibes. Take the Vallon de l’Autel trail and the Saoumes trail. It’s an easy, pleasant route that offers superb scenery.

9. Vaugrenier Park

This lovely hike takes you from Biot to Valbonne, along the Brague discovery trail. It’s a shady path that runs alongside the river. A must for relaxing on a summer’s day! Along the way, you’ll come across the Pont des Tamarins, the Rocher Sculpté, the Domaine de la Verrière and the Grotte Mathilde.

This hike near Antibes is not particularly difficult, but it does extend over 20 kilometers. So bring good walking shoes and plenty of water.

Looking for some height? This lovely hike around Antibes climbs gently to the Roman camp on the heights of Le Rouret, at an altitude of 479 meters. You’ll need a bit of imagination to appreciate the archaeological site, still largely buried underground.

But the main attraction of this hike is the view from the summit. To the east, you can see Nice, and to the west, Cannes. To the north, a breathtaking panorama of the Gorges du Loup awaits you. Simply magical!

12. The Siagne canal
