With over 200,000 kilometers of coastline, Canada is the country with the longest coastline in the world. Long Beach, worthy of the greatest adventure films, is located in British Columbia, the country’s westernmost province. Bordered by the impenetrable jungle of Pacific Rim National Park, this 16 km-long beach remains little known to the general public. In fact, it’s one of the few beaches in the world where nature still rules. Here, you can observe eagles, sandpipers and sea lions in their natural habitat!

Canada is definitely full of breathtaking beaches. Sandcut Beach, also in British Columbia, is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It’s a gravel beach where you won’t be able to lie in the warm sand. Its particularity lies elsewhere. Numerous small waterfalls from the surrounding forest plunge spiritedly into the Pacific. This berry takes its name from the fruit of the tamarind tree, which is sweet and widely used in chutneys in Mauritian cuisine. The adjoining village of the same name is far from the tourist hustle and bustle, and lives to the local rhythm. This picturesque bay is one of the world’s best-known beaches for surfing, stand-up paddling and even sailing.

What’s more, the turquoise seabed invites you to take a dip, even among the dolphins. At the end of the day, treat yourself to the luxury of watching one of the region’s most stunning sunsets while sipping your light coconut water in a suave atmosphere!

Do you find the idea of a cactus coupled with a white sand beach strange? That’s the kind of landscape you’ll find on the arid desert beaches of Pan de Azucar National Park. In the Atacama region, this natural park probably contains some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and in Chile too. Immerse yourself like a poet in your daydreams, watching the deep-blue Pacific stretching as far as the eye can see.

In this exceptional setting, you can also enjoy snorkelling and other water sports. Take a stroll along the park’s coastal zones, where you’ll encounter endemic fauna such as pelicans, sea otters and sea lions.

Today, erosion has done its work, resulting in a multicolored coastline that gives it its charm. There are several small beaches in the area, so be sure to ask around to find the real glass beach. Be careful, though: you’re not supposed to bring glass back in your pockets!

Column-shaped volcanic rocks rise geometrically on either side of the coast. They’re so distinctive that you’ll wonder how nature could be capable of putting on such a spectacle. Pink Sand, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, exudes a voluptuous atmosphere. Its pink sand is due to the presence in the water of tiny living organisms of the protozoan family. They have a pinkish-red carapace which, when broken, gives rise to these grains of sand. All this adds up to a heavenly atmosphere on this beach, world-famous for its beauty. Enjoy the clear, warm waters and the romanticism that emanates from this splendid landscape. A real postcard setting!

Surrounded by steep cliffs, a small pebble beach overlooks an azure-blue sea straight out of a dream. The Calanque d’En-Vau is one of the few beaches in the world still preserved from mass tourism.
