Discover our selection of the best beaches in Mykonos, from the most authentic to the most vibrant.
Of the twenty-four inhabited islands in the Cyclades, Mykonos is undoubtedly the most festive. Every summer, its beaches attract night owls who dance on the fine sand until the early hours of the morning. What could be more magical than watching the sun rise over the Aegean Sea? The beaches of Mykonos are equally lively during the day. Ribbons of sand nestled among the rocks and bordered by clear waters, they’re the perfect place to relax.
In Mykonos, the beaches are very popular and often well equipped. It should be noted that the island is particularly windy and that the southern beaches are the most sheltered. On the other hand, it’s in the north that you’ll find the most unspoilt bathing spots on Mykonos. One thing’s for sure: there’s something for everyone!
1. Agrari, the pearl of the south
Location: south coast, next to Elia beach, 8 km from Chora
? Benefits: quiet but well-equipped beach, beautiful scenery
ℹ️ Good to know: beach with restaurant, accessible by car or by taking the bus to Elia and finishing on foot.
With its turquoise waters, fine sand, small church and rolling landscape, Agrari has it all. And yet, much to our delight, it’s much quieter than its neighbor, Elia beach.
There’s a reasonably priced restaurant, as well as a number of hotels and beach facilities. For these reasons, Agrari is a good option for families and couples wishing to stay close to a pleasant beach in Mykonos.
