Why not take the wheel of a tank normally reserved for the military? See you 100 km from Budapest!
If you want to get off the beaten track, give a birthday present or celebrate a friend’s stag party, there’s a whole range of possibilities. But what to do when you’re in Budapest? What extraordinary activity can arouse so much interest and fascinate, amuse, amaze, and give a thousand and one emotions all at once? The answer is here: driving a tank.
A unique experience
From your hotel in the heart of Budapest, a shuttle bus will pick you up and take you on an unusual ride, some 100 km from the capital, on land reserved exclusively for the military. You’ll have the opportunity to drive a real tank!
Weighing in at no less than 20 tons and drawing up to 580 horsepower, you’re about to experience a machine that’s not so easy to handle. Of course, you’ll have to drive it over rough terrain to get the real feel for it.
Safe driving
Before you climb aboard the Tank T-55, an instructor will provide you with the necessary equipment and safety instructions, and will be present with you. Safety is assured by a professional who will climb aboard alongside you and help and advise you in the operation of this imposing land machine.
On a terrain of over 50 hectares, you’ll be able to overcome a wide variety of obstacles and ride over bumpy terrain.
Hungarian beer tour
Once you’ve finished your tank tour, Hungarian tradition calls for a toast with a round of beer to celebrate this singular experience.
A minibus driver will then take you back to your hotel. The T-55 tank-driving activity lasts around 5 hours, including transfers. Please note that you will have the opportunity to stay in the tank while others drive it.
The drive lasts 15 minutes, and that’s more than enough time for an exhilarating and emotionally-charged experience. Other options are available once you’ve arrived, such as having your photos taken by a professional photographer who will immortalize this wonderful moment.
Finally, don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as boots can be lent to you on site.
