The best way to get around Seville is with a Tarjeta Turistica. This gives you unlimited bus travel (buses are the main mode of transport in Seville). Depending on the length of your stay, you can opt for :
- The €5 day pass,
- 3-day pass at €10,
- Or the €35 monthly pass.
This card can be purchased at the Prado de San Sebastián bus station, airport, train station, Plaza Ponce de León kiosk or TUSSAM kiosks.
And if you need to use several modes of transport in Seville, you can take out the MultiVoyage card. With a €7 top-up, you can travel by bus, metro or streetcar.

Seville’s metro has a single line serving the Andalusian capital’s main points of interest. With its 22 stops, the metro covers no less than 18 kilometers. It runs from the west of Ciudad Expo to the Prado de San Sebastián stop in the southeast. If you have a car, the metro can be an excellent alternative if parking is a problem. Free parking is available just 10 minutes from the city center. The metro is a very convenient way to get around Seville, especially if your accommodation is out of the city.
Metro timetables are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 6.30 a.m. to 11 p.m.;
- Fridays and holiday eves: 6:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. ;
- Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.;
- Sunday: 7.30am to 11pm.
If you plan to take the metro in Seville on a regular basis, we recommend you buy the Bonométro. For a minimum price of €10, you can take unlimited trips around the city.
The most comfortable: the cab
To get around Seville with maximum comfort, the best solution is obviously a cab. They’re easy to find, as they’re all white with the Andalusian capital’s crest on the side. If you see a green light, they’re free. Simply hail them and they’ll take you wherever you want to go. Generally speaking, you’ll find them in the city’s main squares.
Cabs are also an excellent way to get around after dark. After a certain hour, public transport is no longer open. Cabs allow you to get back to your accommodation safely at night.
Cab fares in Seville vary according to zone (urban or interurban), day and pick-up time. In addition, if you call a cab from the airport or train station, a surcharge will apply.

The easiest way to get around Seville is by bus. With some 50 lines, the Andalusian capital is very well served. Most buses run mainly outside the old town. However, there is one line, the C5, which only takes you into the heart of the Andalusian capital. This can be very useful if you’re getting tired after long hours of walking.
The bus operates from 6am to 11.30pm on weekdays and from 7am to 11.30pm at weekends.
If you’ve come to Seville to party, there are several night bus routes: A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 and N29.
These lines depart from Prado San Sebastián and operate until 2am. Line 16 also runs at night from Thursday to Saturday and on the eve of public holidays. This line departs from Plaça Jerónimo de Córdoba.
From Seville airport
The cheapest way to get around Seville from the airport to the city center is by bus. There’s a special airport line with several stops, stopping at Plaza de Armas. The cost of the shuttle is €4 for a one-way ticket and €6 for a return ticket.
It takes an average of 45 minutes to get to the center from Seville airport. On weekdays, buses leave every 15 minutes, and every 20 minutes on weekends and public holidays. Tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver. We strongly recommend that you bring your own change.
After a long flight, you may want to get to your hotel as quickly as possible. In that case, opt for a cab. The journey costs between €23 and €25, but takes just 15 to 20 minutes in comfort. All you have to do is take your luggage and settle in.
