The 2014 Sculpture by the Sea exhibition takes place on Bondi Beach from October 23 to November 9.

Sculpture by the Sea is an annual outdoor sculpture exhibition, the largest of its kind in Australia, held on the beaches of Sydney and Perth. Launched in 1996, the exhibition, now in its 18th year, is spread over two kilometers from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach(Sydney), with over 100 sculptures by artists from 16 different countries. Some of this year’s best « sculptures » include a strange counter created by Geoffrey Drake-Brockman, an interactive arcade that counts visitors as they walk through it, and a giant frying pan by Andrew Hankin on Tamarama Beach called « We’re fryin’ out here « .

The 2014 edition of Sculpture by the Sea has the distinction of welcoming the 1,000th artist since its creation.
