With a van to pick you up at your hotel, you’ll set off some 80 km north of San Francisco towards the magnificent wine-growing regions of the American West. On this trip, you’ll cross the famous Golden Gate Bridge, take a photo break at North Point Vista and then continue on to Marin Country. You’ll then arrive at the heart of your tour, in Napa Valley and the Carneros region, south of Sonoma Valley.
Description
Napa Valley is the wine center par excellence in the United States, with a perfect climate, ideal, almost permanent sunshine and fertile soil. The wine produced in Napa Valley is of the highest quality, and rivals the best French crus. Such is the success of the region that Napa Valley abounds in ancillary activities to satisfy every taste and desire: limousine tours, cycling, hot-air ballooning, hiking, tennis, golf, etc…
Sonoma Valley resembles Napa Valley to a certain extent, and its strong point is that it has managed to resist the various urbanization projects and retain its authentic charm, which is quite rare in California and the American West as a whole. The Sonoma Valley is known for its wine-growing, but also for its tourism, which remains lesser than that of Napa Valley: horse-riding, hiking, wine-tasting, hot-air ballooning, etc…
In these two wine-growing areas, you’ll have the opportunity to discover great estates such as Buena Vista, which remains the valley’s oldest estate to this day, Sebastiani, which is a very old estate, and Gloria Ferrer Champagne, where you can taste one of California’s finest champagnes.
