Are you experiencing a mustard shortage? Have your dishes lost all their flavor? Don’t worry, we’ve got the solution: our recipe for homemade mustard.
Ingredients (for a medium jar)
- 50 g mustard seeds (you can also use 15 g yellow or blond seeds + 15 g black seeds)
- 150 ml water
- 10 g salt
- 250 ml cider vinegar (or white vinegar)
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
Optional ingredients
- Pepper
- Honey
- Flour
- Rapeseed oil
Preparation
Step 1
Pour the water, salt, mustard seeds, cider vinegar or white wine into a bowl and leave to soak for 24 to 48 hours.
Step 2
Pour the mixture into a blender and blend.
Step 3
Taste your mustard and add pepper, rapeseed oil or honey as required, depending on the desired taste.
If your mustard is too runny, you can add flour.
