Wien Hauptbahnhof train station

Wien Hauptbahnhof is Vienna’s main railway station. All long-distance trains operated by the Austrian Österreichischen Bundesbahn stop here. The station serves many Austrian and foreign cities.

In addition to its excellent national and international connections, the Wien Hauptbahnof station provides links to the airport and all of Vienna’s districts.

If you’re passing through Vienna’s main railway station, you can leave your bags and suitcases there. There are several lockers available. Locker prices depend on the size of your suitcase:

  • Small (45 * 35 * 85): €2
  • Average (60 * 35 * 85): €2.50
  • Large (90 * 35 * 85): €3.50
  • Special (90 * 50 * 85): €4.50

These prices are the same for all stations in Vienna.

Please note, however, that luggage lockers at Vienna stations are all limited to 24 hours. After this time, your belongings will be taken to the lost and found center.

Wien-Meidling station

Wien-Meidling railway station is located southwest of Vienna city center. Many national and international trains stop here. So if you’re traveling by train, you may well be passing through this station. It’s easy to reach by public transport, such as the subway or bus.

Luggage lockers are available at Vienna Meidling. Prices are the same as for the lockers at the main station.

Westbahnhof (or West Station) is a particularly international station. It is the terminus of many trains from all over Europe. So you’re likely to pass through Westbahnhof if you’re traveling to Vienna by train. As its name suggests, it’s also the station that serves Western Austria .

Wien-Mitte station

With over 20 million passengers a year, Vienna airport is Austria’s largest. So if you’re flying to Vienna, you’ll be landing at this airport.

You can leave your bags and suitcases at Vienna airport, in the check-in areas of terminals T1 and T3 . The Vienna airport baggage drop-off service is open every day between 5.30 a.m. and 11 p.m. The deposit is €4 per bag per day. For large suitcases, the charge is €8 per day.

Stadion center Bus terminal

The central bus station is located six kilometers from the city center. From this bus station, several buses run to Austria and bordering countries. The bus station is easy to reach from the city center, whether by subway or city bus.
