Booking activities for your group trip: why is it complicated?

There are a number of reasons why groups find it difficult to book their travel activities.

No long-term availability

First of all, for a group trip, the person in charge of reservations needs to make arrangements in advance. However, museums, tourist sites and other local agencies only open their ticket offices a few months or even weeks in advance. If you try to book your ticket for the Sagrada Familia 6 months in advance, you won’t succeed: the online ticket office « catalog » only opens 2 months in advance.

No group-oriented offer

Secondly, the platforms that allow you to book tickets and tours online don’t always offer the possibility of booking for more than 8 or 10 people. Even if you try to book an activity for a group of 15 people by paying for 10 and then for 5, you run the risk of running out of places between the two payments.

Too many groups?

Finally, each monument has its own policy for managing group visits. You need to find out in advance whether a particular museum will accept a group of 40 people at the same time.

For all these reasons, it’s a good idea to rely on industry professionals to manage your group travel activities.
