Parking in Nantes: pay on the street

For street parking in Nantes, the city is divided into three zones. All are pay-and-display zones, regulated by parking meters. Nevertheless, for a short stopover, it’s a practical way to leave your vehicle close to the historic heart of the city:
- The yellow zone, around the city center: paid parking Monday to Saturday, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 7pm, for a maximum of three hours. The rate is €1.50 for 1 hour, €2.80 for 2 hours.
- The red zone, in the hyper-center: paid parking from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 7pm, for a limited period of two hours. The rate is €2.30 for 1 hour, €4.60 for 2 hours. Between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., the rate is 0.50 cents per hour.
- Blue zone: free parking for 1h30. Every day from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 7pm, except Sundays and public holidays. You must, however, display a parking disc showing the time of your arrival. These zones are set up around local commercial centers.
Paid parking remains available on Sundays from 9am to 1pm in the following streets (near the Talensac market):
- In the Rue de Bel Air
- Rue Jeanne d’Arc
- In rue Basse Porte
- Rue de Talensac and Talensac median strip
All parking meters (red and yellow zones) can be used to pay in cash. However, only meters in red zones are equipped for payment by credit card (with or without contact). You also have another option for paying: by telephone via the PayByPhone application.
