La Rochelle’s parking policy boosts the attractiveness of its city center. With 3,000 short- and medium-term parking spaces, on-street parking is charged from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6:30pm.

Rates vary according to geographical area and parking duration. Time-stamped zones become free on Sundays and public holidays. Beyond the authorized limit, the post-parking charge is €30.

  • Green zone (on the outskirts of the city center): 0.30 centimes for fifteen minutes and €4 for two hours. This is the maximum authorized parking time.
  • Zone orange (hyper-centre): 0.50 centimes for 15 minutes and €9. 50 for 7.5 hours. This is the maximum authorized parking time.

To park on time-stamped streets in La Rochelle, simply enter your license plate number on the connected devices. Tickets are no longer required on the dashboard, but receipts are still available.
