Parking in Grenoble: pay on the street

You can park on the street in Grenoble and pay for your parking, depending on the duration of your stay. On-street pay zones in Grenoble are represented by three colors:
- Zone Verte: for residents and long-term parking, ideal for a long day or weekend in Grenoble. Pay parking is available from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., every day except Sundays and public holidays: €0.50 for 20 minutes, €0.80 for half an hour, €1.50 for one hour, €3 for two hours, €9.50 for eight hours. For more than 8 consecutive hours, add €1 per minute.
- Zone Violette: cars can be left in this zone for a maximum of two and a half hours. Pay parking from 9am to 7pm and half-price between 12pm and 2pm. Free on Sundays and public holidays. The first twenty minutes are free, then the rates are €1.20 for thirty minutes, €2.50 for one hour and €4. 50 for two hours. Beyond that, add €1 per minute and €35 for the maximum parking time.
- Zone Orange: parking in Grenoble for up to two and a half hours in this zone. Paid parking from 9am to 7pm and half-price between 12pm and 2pm. Free parking on Sundays and public holidays. The first twenty minutes are free, then prices are €1.20 for thirty minutes, €2.50 for one hour, €4.50 for two hours. Beyond that, add €1 per minute and €35 for two and a half hours.

What’s more, park-and-ride facilities are linked to the city center by bus and streetcar lines. You simply pay for your ticket (maximum one hour after arrival at the parking lot) and that’s it.
