In Aix-en-Provence, you can park on the street and pay at a parking meter. The spaces are well marked, so don’t take any risks and choose among those with pavement markings. This type of parking is best suited to short-term visits. In all, Aix-en-Provence has 3,400 parking spaces divided into three zones:

  • Zone 1, located in the city’s hypercentre and most attractive districts: the first hour is €2. Rates apply from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm. Maximum parking time: 5 hours.
  • Zone 2, located in the suburbs and outlying areas: the first hour is €1. Rates apply from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm. Maximum parking time: 9 hours.

Three methods of payment are available via the parking meters installed in the historic center: cash, credit card (contactless included) or via the Whoosh application. They are open Monday to Saturday, from 6.30am to 9pm. However, they are closed on Sundays and public holidays. With the exception of the Krypton and Plan d’Aillane park-and-ride facilities, which are open all year round.
