A new study has just reinforced suspicions about ultra-processed foods! Sound familiar? Yet they make up 31% of the French diet!

However, this is still less than our American neighbors, whose diet is made up of 50% of this type of food!

Sodas and other sweetened soft drinks, breakfast cereals, chocolate bars, potato chips, cookies and other savoury snacks, as well as ready-made, frozen and instant meals – they all have one thing in common!

They are high in empty calories, low in essential nutrients, and overloaded with artificial ingredients, additives and preservatives!

In addition to being bad for your health, increasing the risk of developing certain pathologies (diabetes, obesity…), consumed in excess, they have a negative impact on your mood and mental well-being!

Ultra-processed foods promote depression

These products, obtained using aggressive preparation techniques, always contain at least one additive!

An INSERM study recently revealed that, after being associated with an increased risk of obesity, diabetes and cancer, they also increase the risk of recurrent depressive episodes.

For the sake of your health, opt for a diet consisting mainly of fresh, unprocessed, nutrient-rich foods!
