You’ll start your journey at the foot of the imposing Monte Cinto, almost 3,000 metres above sea level. This popular tourist spot is a veritable historical landmark on the Isle of Beauty. The road to the canyon joins the transhumance route of La Scala de Santa Regina. Today, this region of Corsica is still very popular with visitors.
For canyoning enthusiasts in Calvi, this is a fabulous natural setting for their activity. The granite rocks that surround them offer an unusual, almost wild, setting and atmosphere. Along the way, they’re sure to appreciate the environmental richness of this Mediterranean island.
This canyoning descent in Calvi is, however, reserved for the more athletic. There are a number of slightly more technical sections. For this reason, it is only accessible to those over 14 years of age. It’s also advisable to be in good shape before embarking on this adventure. Indeed, those who take on this canyon will face multiple canyoning obstacles in Calvi. Between jumps, slides and abseiling under waterfalls, they’ll have their adrenalin pumping.
