The Easter festivities are over: you’ve got plenty of chocolate left over and you don’t know what to do with it? Don’t panic, we’ve come up with 3 recipes for you and your family to make with leftover Easter chocolates!

A way to extend the party without wasting money!

Easter chocolate cake

A delicious recipe that’s as delicious as it is easy to make! For this recipe, you’ll need: 200 g leftover Easter chocolate, 200 g butter, 200 g sugar, 4 eggs, 150 g flour, ½ teaspoon baking powder and 1 pinch of salt!

Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin. Melt the leftover Easter chocolate and butter in a bowl over a bain-marie or in the microwave.

Allow to cool slightly. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until frothy. Add the cooled melted chocolate to the egg-sugar mixture and stir.

Then add the flour, baking powder and salt, and mix until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and smooth the surface with a spatula.

Place the chocolate cake in the oven and bake for around 25-30 minutes! Remove the cake from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for a few minutes.

Then add powdered sugar and it’s ready to eat!

Easter chocolate fondue

Melt leftover Easter chocolate in a saucepan over low heat with a little heavy cream to make a delicious chocolate fondue.

Serve with fresh fruit, marshmallows or cookies for a fabulous snack that will delight young and old alike!

Homemade chocolate bars

Chop up leftover Easter chocolate and mix with other ingredients such as crumbled cookies, nuts, peanut butter or caramel to create your own homemade chocolate bars.

Leave to set in the fridge, then cut into pieces to enjoy.
