For an evening of fun and terror, head to an amusement park. In recent years, more and more of them have been decked out in spider webs and skeletons, and offering special Halloween evenings. And if you’re also a fan of the great outdoors and thrills, choosing an amusement park on the evening of this mythical holiday promises a unique experience.

1. Europa Park, Germany

Welcome to one of the best theme parks for Halloween! Europa Park is going all out for Halloween. No less than one hundred and eighty thousand pumpkins will be laid out in the park for the occasion. And if you’re lucky enough to get there, don’t miss the Horror Nights – Traumartica evenings. Five great houses of horror await you, for an evening of guaranteed thrills and chills. Please note that these special evenings are forbidden to under-16s.

2. Le Manoir de Paris

Not afraid of anything? Test your courage at the Manoir de Paris. Every year, we pull out all the stops to ensure that the festivities and the horror are in perfect harmony. You’ll be plunged into the Azylum, an asylum cut off from the rest of the world, where strange events will make your blood run cold. An incredible show, performed by a cast of over-the-top actors. Not to be missed!

3. Disneyland Paris

At Disneyland Paris, all the bad guys are out for Halloween. Cruela, Ursulla and Snow White’s stepmother are the heroes of the special Halloween show « Attention… Méchants! Disneyland Paris is undoubtedly the theme park to celebrate Halloween with young children. But older children are not forgotten either. The Haunted Mansion is back, with scenes that are scarier than ever.

4. Parc Astérix, France

For Halloween, Parc Asterix transforms itself into a horror park. Surprising, isn’t it, for a park with a Gaulish theme? Don’t worry, Obelix hasn’t turned into a zombie. There are plenty of great attractions on offer for visitors who enjoy a good scare. You’ll find the three haunted houses already present in previous editions: « The House of Fear », « The Wrath of Anubis », and « Lost Mission ».

And for the bravest among you, head for the Catacombs, the brand-new haunted house opening in 2019. On the program: you, fourteen rooms and hordes of undead ready to devour you! The special effects are incredible and the thrills guaranteed.

5. Port Aventura, Spain

This is perhaps one of the most complete theme parks in which to celebrate Halloween. There’s something for every taste and age. Try to escape the ghosts of the pirates on Cursed Island or enjoy the four passages of terror and nine shows designed especially for the occasion.

6. Freakling Bros, United States

Lucky enough to be in Navada this Halloween? Don’t miss Freakling Bros.’ Trilogy of Terror. You’re in for the most frightening experience of your life at the Grand Canyon Shopping Center’s three haunted houses. It’s all here: bloody scenes, mock mass executions, the living dead. You’ll be pushed to your limits.

The latest house, Gates of Hell, is much more than just a show, and the line between fiction and reality is hard to draw. You won’t come away from this experience unscathed. Young audiences and sensitive souls please refrain!

7. Warner Bros Movie World, Australia

For fans of travel and thrills, head to Warner Bros Movie World in Australia, not far from Brisbane. The entire park is going all out for Halloween. Labyrinths, thrill rides, houses of horror and shows – everything is designed to give you the fright of your life. Without a doubt, one of the best theme parks in the southern hemisphere to celebrate Halloween!

8. Everland, South Korea

Everland is one of South Korea’s biggest theme parks. It is located in Yongin, a suburb of Seoul. For Halloween, the European village is decked out in skeletons and pumpkins. The decorations are magnificent and full of creativity. It’s undoubtedly a more poetic Halloween than that offered by Western parks.

Rest assured, you’ll also be able to shiver in terror at this superb theme park. Zombies, witches and vampires invade the park, which boasts the scariest haunted houses in Asia.

9. La Mer des Sables, France

Here’s one of the theme parks not far from Paris where you can celebrate Halloween with your family! For the occasion, La Mer des Sables transforms its cowboys into zombies and offers its visitors attractions to scare the bejesus out of themselves. The labyrinth or the Infernal Escape train are attractions not to be missed.

10. Le Spirou, France

For fun without nightmares, Parc Spirou offers a wide range of Halloween-themed activities and experiences. From fire-eaters and pumpkin carving to souvenir photos with a witch, the little ones will have a great time at this park, located not far from Avignon.

This park in Belgium is going for originality this Halloween. Here, witches and other scarecrows are colorful and cheerful, in the image of characters from the Mexican festival of the dead. Fire shows and other parades accompany the celebrations, which are intended to be fun and good-natured. Another way to celebrate Halloween, ideal for the young and not so young at heart.

Welcome to Ohio and one of the world’s best-known amusement parks for its spectacular roller coasters. This Halloween, the park promises an unforgettable experience. During the day, it’s all about the little ones, with a pumpkin party and characters from the famous Peanuts comic strip. Children enjoy a haunted house and age-appropriate mazes. The day ends with a giant candy hunt. A treat for the whole family.

13. Howl-O-Scream, United States

Here’s another theme park where you can celebrate Halloween in the USA, and more specifically in Tampa, Florida.

Every year in October, Busch Gardens hosts the Howl-O-Scream festival. Scare Zones welcome thrill-seeking visitors. Terrifying characters, spider webs, zombie hunts, an abandoned hotel, twenty-one haunted houses – the park goes all out to scare its visitors. During the All Saints’ vacation, Halloween takes center stage with hundreds of skeletons, spiders, lanterns and incredible characters.
